Chronify is a time-tracking service operated by PA Solutions ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights. For most data in Chronify, your employer or organization is the data controller and we act as a processor on their behalf.
We collect account details (name, email, preferred language, role), the time-tracking data you enter (clock-ins, projects, products, equipment, leave), and technical data needed to run the Service (device and push tokens, log data). If your organization enables it, we may capture approximate location at clock-in — only after you consent to the disclaimer shown in the app.
We use personal data to provide and secure the Service, authenticate you, record and report time, send necessary emails (such as invitations, password resets, and reminders), and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not run advertising.
Location capture is optional and controlled by your organization. It is only recorded when you clock in or out, after you have accepted the consent disclaimer. You can decline, and your organization can turn the feature off.
We share data with service providers that help us operate Chronify — for example cloud hosting (Microsoft Azure), email delivery (SendGrid), and payment processing (Paddle) — under agreements that require them to protect your data. We may disclose data where required by law.
We keep personal data for as long as your organization's account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then delete or anonymize it in line with our retention practices and legal requirements.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Because your organization usually controls your data, please direct requests to them; we will assist as required. You can also contact us using the details below. To request deletion of your account specifically, see how to delete your account.
We use technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and to notify affected parties of incidents as required by law.
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
We use Google Analytics to understand how Chronify is used and to improve the product. Google Analytics only runs after you accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit; if you decline, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain. See Google's own privacy policy for how it processes analytics data.
